Tiffany stained glass workshop, creation of a small stained glass object
Tiffany stained glass workshop, creation of a small stained glass object
Plunge into the heart of arts and crafts in the workshop of Anne Veyrier du Muraud, a passionate master glassworker who invites you to share her fascinating world of stained glass. Anne draws on the experience she gained restoring emblematic stained glass windows in the cathedrals of Troyes and Strasbourg to introduce you to this delicate and colorful art.
While Anne’s studio is her workplace, it is above all a space dedicated to art, where each creation tells a story. By taking part in this workshop, you’ll discover the technique developed in the 19th century by Louis Comfort Tiffany. His method involves meticulously cutting the glass, crimping it with a copper ribbon and soldering it with tin. Anne will explain the various steps and guide you step by step, ensuring a successful experience even for beginners.
You can choose to create a stained-glass window depicting a bird, flowers or even a cactus: each piece you create will reflect your creativity and your learning during this workshop. Anne’s specialty, rondels, will enable you to discover specific techniques for painting glass in grisaille and silver yellow, offering a unique perspective on this traditional art form.
