Head in the stars at the Ecomusée d’Alsace
Get your head in the stars with the Ėcomusée d’Alsace. This Alsatian village in the heart of nature is located in Ungersheim. Dating from the early 20th century, France’s largest open-air museum displays a range of exceptional collections, including buildings and objects of everyday use. It conveys Alsatian culture through the gestures and skills of local craftsmen.
Founded in the 90s on a Potash Mine industrial wasteland, this Musée de France is an environmentally-friendly site. Known for its great biodiversity, the Ecomusée welcomes you to a varied environment of fields, forests, rivers, ponds and more. A site has been built on the premises to raise visitors’ awareness of the need to protect biodiversity.
This themed activity was designed by the museum’s corporation of volunteer naturalists. Accompanied by an enthusiastic guide, embark on this fourth nature event, this time exploring space: observe the stars through telescopes and learn more about the constellations. Discover comets and other celestial bodies. An exciting experience!
In addition to this unforgettable celestial journey, the package includes access to the entire site for the day. Free parking is available for your convenience.

Ecomusée d'Alsace
L'ÉCOMUSÉE D'ALSACE, A TRADITIONAL VILLAGE IN THE HEART OF NATURE
--
BUILDINGS & BIODIVERSITY
Today, the Ecomusée d'Alsace consists of a village of 80 buildings representative of Alsace at the beginning of the 20th century, all dismantled from their commune of origin and reassembled in the museum. Around the village, on an area of 97 hectares, you'll find 4 signposted trails to discover biodiversity, as well as agricultural areas in biological transition.
Be curious! Push open the door of each house to discover the treasures it contains: a converted interior, an exhibition, a craftsman's workshop or a stable with animals!

LABEL MUSÉE DE FRANCE
The Ecomusée d'Alsace boasts an exceptional collection of over 40,000 objects, reflecting the daily lives of Alsatians. When the museum was created in 1984, Alsatians became passionate about this adventure and began sending regular donations to the museum.
