Come join us for a guided tour of the Saint-Thiébaut Collegiate Church in Thann, a charming town located in southern Alsace, about 20 kilometers from Mulhouse, at the foot of the Vosges Mountains and the Alsace Wine Route. Discover the history and architecture of this Rhenish Gothic monument. Organized by the Thann parish, this guided tour will help you appreciate every detail of this architectural masterpiece.
Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Saint-Thiébaut Collegiate Church, an iconic example of Rhenish Gothic architecture in Alsace. The collegiate church was built toward the end of the 13th century. Admire the grand portal on the west facade, adorned with three tympanums featuring 500 figures depicting the life of the Virgin Mary, the Nativity, and the Crucifixion. Discover its richness by exploring its chapels, admiring its lace-like stone spire rising over 78 meters high, its colorful 15th-century stained-glass windows, and the intricate detail of its carved choir stalls.
A guided tour led by a member of the Thann Parish Tourism Ministry is included.
