The authentic Drumont farmhouse inn
Located in Bussang, the highest commune in the Massif des Vosges, the Drumont farm inn offers a 360° view over the pretty Alsatian plain. On the menu: marcaire, cochonnailles, bargkass and the farm's flagship product: gold medal-winning Munster cheese. From the terrace, we enjoy our meal overlooking the rolling landscape of the Alsatian plain, with its intersecting slopes creating a horizon of vistas. A little further on, you can see the Rossberg and the Grand Ballon. A magical sight!
Don't miss the Vosges cows, the stars of the show!
The rustic Molkenrain farmhouse inn
Since 1930, the Molkenrain farmhouse inn, with its old-world charm, has been welcoming walkers and visitors with the same passion for over 90 years. In a room adorned with old wood panelling, you take a seat not far from the sublime ancestral tiled stove. The smells emanating from the kitchen whet our appetites! Would you prefer stewed Salers beef or smoked pork? To round off the meal in style, we head out onto the terrace for a coffee in idyllic surroundings. In front of us, a breathtaking view of the hills of the Alsace plain, the Vosges mountains and the fir trees of the Black Forest.
We can't resist visiting the farm animals: rabbits, horses and pigs.

The farm inn at Lac Forlet, on the water's edge
On the outskirts of Lac du Forlet (also known as Lac des Truites) at an altitude of 1100 metres, the Forlet farm inn is a much-awaited gourmet stop-off on the 4 lakes hike in the Vosges! In the heart of this glacial cirque, enjoy an enchanting and relaxing moment on the terrace of the farmhouse inn. Soak up the sunshine and take in the peaceful natural surroundings, lulled by the sound of cowbells. It's the perfect setting to enjoy a meal of marcaire, a piece of munster cheese and a slice of delicious blueberry tart. A treat for the taste buds!
And before you go: choose a delicious farmhouse cheese to take home as an exquisite souvenir!
The family-run Ferme-auberge du Treh
At the Ferme-auberge du Treh, you'll find the Deybach family, descendants of a long line of marcaires, who are delighted to share their passion and know-how with you. In the restaurant, you can sample all the farmhouse specialities: smoked pork pie, roïgabrageldi and fromage blanc with kirsch for dessert. While the restaurant's decor is instantly appealing, the view from the terrace is just as striking: with the summit of the Grand Ballon in its sights, it overlooks the town of Kruth.
The restaurant's star product: bargkass, a soft, supple cheese specialising in the Vosges!
