On this final stage, the Raid Bulles will take you from Sommeval to Troyes, through picturesque villages, historic sites and breathtaking panoramas. It's also an opportunity to ride along the Pays d'Othe, before reaching your final destination: Troyes!
Saddle up in the peaceful setting of Sommeval for your final leg! Winding through hills, forests and wheat fields, it's the ideal starting point for a breath of fresh air. You then arrive near the villages of Bouilly and Souligny, nestling in the plains south of Troyes. These towns, surrounded by vast stretches of farmland, offer you another glimpse of the region's varied landscapes before reaching the oppidum of Montaigu, perched on the top of a hill. Enjoy the exceptional panorama over the plain and surrounding villages! Along the way, you'll also cross the Vallée de Gloire, a lush green combe that adds a well-deserved touch of freshness to your route. Need a picnic break? Head to the Montaigu fountain at the foot of the hill!
The route then takes you to Montgueux, a village renowned for its Champagnes made mainly from the Chardonnay grape. The village is known as "the Montrachet of Champagne". From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Troyes and the surrounding area. Montgueux is also rich in history! Discover the remarkable stained-glass windows and sculptures in the 16th-century Church of the Holy Cross, a listed historic monument.
Finally, treat yourself to one last green break by following the Saint-Étienne canal to the Parc des Vassaules. A cycle path then takes you to the historic heart of Troyes. Here, take time to stroll between the half-timbered houses and explore the city's famous champagne-cork-shaped town centre. And before you set off again, be sure to enjoy a little shopping in Troyes' famous factory outlets!
