Drive to the medieval town of Bar-sur-Aube. This Petite Cité de Caractère® is the perfect historic stop-off point to discover its particularly well-preserved architectural heritage. From thechurch of Saint-Pierre and its magnificent wooden gallery (a halloy, which was probably used by merchants at the great Champagne fairs) to thechurch of Saint-Maclou and its superb keep, there are wonders around every corner! And if you need to stretch your legs before hitting the road again, take the walking trail in the footsteps of local philosopher Gaston Bachelard.
Before continuing your journey, set off on an adventure to Nigloland. Just a few kilometres from the route, this theme park promises great family adventures that will delight young and old alike! Don't miss the chance to admire the Champagne vineyards from a height of over 100 metres from one of its iconic attractions!
After this thrilling interlude, continue on through the pretty surrounding villages before arriving in Bayel, home to the Manufacture des Cristalleries Royales de Champagne. Here you can watch the glassmakers at work and appreciate their expertise!
