Towards the Giants of the Nideck, the hike of legends
Just a stone's throw from Oberhaslach, the "Vers les Géants du Nideck" trail offers hikers a memorable experience. Along the way, eight monumental sculptures carved from Vosges sandstone emerge from the landscape, bringing to life the imaginations of the artists and recalling certain local legends. These imposing works, carved out of the raw rock, seem to watch over walkers, like an echo of the mythical giants of the Nideck. The walk culminates in a breathtaking panorama of the spectacular Nideck waterfalls, where you can't get enough of the water tumbling down the cliffs in a fairytale setting.
What a story! In 1816, the legend of the Nideck was so famous that it appeared in a book by the famous Grimm brothers.

The Chemin des Carrières: metal and plants
Between Rosheim and Saint-Nabor, 11 km of path invites art at every turn. Known as the Chemin des Carrières, this unusual route is dotted with spectacular installations that transform the walk into a truly sensory experience. Among them, the Portes Bonheur, huge metal structures reaching up to the sky, invite visitors to take a symbolic journey between the industrial past and nature. Designed to play with light and perspective, they punctuate the path like so many passages to a poetic elsewhere. Between panoramic views of the Vosges hills, the remains of old quarries and artistic surprises, this unique crossing reveals an inspiring dialogue between heritage and contemporary creation.
A walk for everyone: the greenway is laid out on a former railway line and welcomes walkers, cyclists, scooters, skateboarders, etc.
Remp'Art in Neuf-Brisach: from Vauban to land art
Every summer, the Remp'Art festival redesigns and reinterprets the historic setting of Neuf-Brisach. In this exceptional UNESCO-listed setting, Vauban's imposing fortifications become the arena for artists from all over the world, transforming the ramparts into an open-air gallery. Ephemeral installations, monumental sculptures and immersive works interact with stone and history, offering visitors a new interpretation of this military heritage. Guided tours, workshops and shows complete the programme. And don't forget to extend the experience with a visit to MAUSA Vauban, a museum dedicated to street and urban art, right next door.
The Remp'arts festival is also a temporary showcase for the work of budding artists, schoolchildren from France and Germany.
