Self-guided tour of the Musée de la Résistance de l’Aube
Located in Mussy-sur-Seine, the Musée de la Résistance de l’Aube takes you on a fascinating journey through the local history of the Second World War. Created by former members of the Montcalm maquis, this museum turned place of remembrance reopened its doors in 2022 after a major renovation, offering an enriched and immersive tour.
The self-guided tour takes you through 3 themed rooms that retrace the beginnings of the Resistance in the Aube, the organization of the maquis (particularly those of Mussy-Grancey) and the heavy consequences experienced by the Resistance fighters. Through a modern museography combining authentic objects, archive documents, audiovisual testimonies and interactive devices, immerse yourself in the daily lives and commitments of those who fought in the shadows.
There’s also an educational room open to the general public, and a resource center for those interested in history and remembrance.
