Animation “1944, a free Christmas at last!”
Take part in an immersive experience in the heart of Aube. December 24, 1944, Madeleine welcomes guests for a pre-Christmas tea party. Discover how the people of Aube felt during this first free Christmas, in a country that wasn’t yet totally free!
For 1h30, through personal accounts and role-playing, relive a daily life of hardship, handmade gifts and shared memories in the absence of loved ones.
This animation, accessible to all, will plunge you into a period where the joy of the Liberation and the pain of absence mingled: prisoners of war, forced STO workers, deportees… most of them didn’t return until the spring of 1945.
Treat yourself to an emotional cultural interlude. Reserve your place to relive the spirit of Christmas as it was lived in 1944, between resilience, solidarity and memory!
