Leather work workshop – Creation of a strength bracelet
Sarah Rigal is a saddler and harness-maker who has been self-employed for several years. A specialist in animal harnessing, she also offers saddlery and leather goods. Passionate about working with leather, she opens the doors of her workshop to you for an introductory workshop, giving you an initial insight into her craft and leather in general.
The workshop begins with a 10-minute introduction to Sarah and her background. Then it’s time to get hands-on! With your instructor’s help, you’ll choose your leather, as well as the accessories you’ll need to make your bracelet, and you’ll begin your creation. Sarah will guide you step by step through the creation of your very own, fully personalized power bracelet.
The workshop ends with a presentation of each participant’s creation and a chat over coffee (tea, homemade lemonade, or whatever you’d like to share with your fellow participants). This 2-hour workshop is a great first approach to the craft and to leather!

S.R. Equestrement Vôtre
Once I had my master’s degree in history and archaeology, and after a few months of reflection, I realized that, in order to combine my love of horses and my need to work with my hands, I needed to move towards a more manual profession. After a one year training at the Haras de La-Roche-sur-Yon with Michel Charrier (MOF), a period as a saddler and harness maker at the Ecomusée d’Alsace, I have been self-employed for more than 2 years. The heart of my know-how is the harnessing of horses, as well as other animals, such as oxen, goats and dogs for example. I also make different items of saddlery and leather goods, keeping some equestrian elements, like harness buckles and the leather used is usually the same as the one I use in the harnessing.
