Verdun Memorial
The Verdun Memorial, created by former combatants under the patronage of Maurice Genevoix, is rooted in the heart of the Verdun Battlefield. Fully renovated in 2016, this museum offers an immersion into the battle. Fort of Douaumont
The Fort of Douaumont is the largest fortification of the Verdun stronghold. Occupied by the Germans for most of the battle, it was subjected to relentless bombardments.
