The magic of Christmas in Metz

The festive season’s magic casts its spell over Metz as from 22 November. And although Saint Nicolas, Patron Saint of Lorraine, is celebrated on the first weekend in December, it’s the magic of Christmas that will enchant you in Metz! Up until 30 December, Christmas illuminations, merry-go-rounds and markets will bring a sparkle to the eyes of young and old alike in the heart of Lorraine.

The Saint Nicolas weekend

The weekend of 7 and 8 December, Saint Nicolas’ Days, will make you feel like a child again. From Place de la Comédie to the Opera House by way of the Temple Neuf, there’ll be activities for children, artistic merry-go-rounds and performances to enthral the whole family.

    A fairytale walk along the Lantern Path
