Alsatian Whisky discovery workshop

Located in the foothills of the Hautes Vosges mountains, the G. Miclo distillery opens its doors and invites you to discover Alsatian Whisky. Originally specializing in the distillation of Eaux-de-Vie, the family-run distillery, founded in 1962, has been making exceptional Whiskies for almost 15 years, under the IGP « Whisky Alsacien » label.

This workshop will introduce you to all the stages involved in creating these sumptuous beverages, from the selection of barley grown in Alsace to the choice of barrels used for aging. You’ll slip into the shoes of a cellar master and learn how to identify the aromatic subtleties of a whisky.

The program for this discovery workshop includes a detailed tour of the distillery, an exceptional tasting of brut whisky drawn directly from the barrels, an introduction to professional tasting and a blind tasting workshop, all of which will enable you to discover the single malts produced in our cellars.
