Looking for a more peaceful stage? Follow the Raid Bulles from Clairvaux to Cunfin: the perfect route for a bit of recuperation! Here, you'll discover shady paths, historic chapels and the enchanting landscapes of the Aube.
This new adventure begins in Clairvaux, where a pretty forest road follows a valley and a stream. You are immediately immersed in the calm of the woods as you pass through the Val Saint-Bernard forest. It's a haven of peace for gravel enthusiasts... or even for those who love hiking in the great outdoors! The well-marked paths and tracks lead you through the destination's lush green landscapes: ideal for recharging your batteries!
Along the way, be sure to stop off at the little chapel dedicated to Sainte-Anne. This chapel, built in 1836 by Thérèse Delaunay and Nicolas Bellot, replaces a former cell dedicated to the saint dating back to the 11th century. Long a place of pilgrimage, it embodies the religious fervour of the region and offers a moment of contemplation in the heart of the woods!
Your journey ends in Cunfin, an ancient village surrounded by forests. It lies on the ancient Roman road to Lasticum, also known as the Bar Road. The village is particularly famous for its hillsides, where winegrowers cultivate the grapes used to make champagne. The village has a rich history, including sites such as the priory founded by Simon de Valois in 1076 and the historic hermitage near the chapel. A real journey back in time, between wine-growing traditions and religious heritage!
