Take advantage of your trip along the Alsace Wine Route to stop in Scherwiller and visit Domaine Achillée, where you will discover a bioclimatic cellar – the largest building made of wood and straw in Europe – and taste 5 exceptional wines.
A breathtaking view of the vineyards and the chateaux is what makes this beautiful estate, ideally located at the foot of the Vosges hills, so special. But that’s not all. This one is also innovative. And we’re not just talking about its cellar, which was built in a rather unusual material in order to reduce its carbon footprint to a minimum.
Indeed, the wines that are produced here have something to arouse the curiosity. Biodynamic and natural (not to be confused with organic), these drinks will surprise you with their more harmonious and energetic taste. They are the fruit of a philosophy of life and a true know-how that will be revealed to you during this guided tour.
For the record, this is a very recent estate, created by Yves Dietrich’s sons, Jean and Pierre, in 2016 (previously, all the grapes were sold to the cooperative). Note that the vineyard has been converted to organic farming since 1999 and to biodynamics since 2003.

The vineyard has been managed organically since 1999 and biodynamically since 2003. In 2016, Yves Dietrich's two sons, Jean and Pierre, joined the adventure to give it a big boost, becoming independent. Quickly accompanied by an equally passionate team, they built together a bioclimatic cellar where they now vinify the nuggets of the family estate.
