Take a break in Parc de la Pépinière

Nancy is a resolutely green city and contains a great many parks and gardens where you can get some top-quality fresh air. But its true green lung is the Pep’, or Parc de la Pépinière, whose 23 hectares of plant life enable you to really get away from it all.

Seated peacefully on a bench, you can be reading a book and, glancing up, find yourself looking into the eyes of a deer, peacock, or one of the other animals that make their home there. The park also acts as a venue for many of the cultural events organised by the city.

Rendezvous at the Museum of Fine Arts

Nancy is a city of art par excellence, so treat yourself to a visit to its superb Museum of Fine Arts on Place Stanislas. The building is a work of art in itself and its several floors trace the history of European art from the 14th century to the present day.

Exhibits include original works by Rodin, César, Manet and Caravaggio alongside others by Lorraine’s own artists. The Museum is a magnificent tribute to art in all its forms, awaiting your discovery within its sumptuous walls. Unmissable!

Immerse yourself in Art Nouveau at the Nancy School Museum

The Nancy School Museum is first and foremost the former home of Eugène Corbin, a major collector of Art Nouveau who bequeathed his house to the city. The establishment is also one of the few museums dedicated to this art form, which is based on curved lines, colours, and multiple decorative features inspired by the nature that surrounds us.
