Basketry workshop for children
Basketry is an ancient technique that uses no glue, screws or tacks, and makes all kinds of solid, light, useful, beautiful and biodegradable objects. Come and discover this art with Anne and make your own object!
Anne trained at the national basketry school in Fayl-Billot, and will guide you in the creation of a variety of traditional, utilitarian and decorative basketry objects. Courses are offered throughout the year: come and learn all the techniques involved in making a bird feeder or a butterfly in a friendly atmosphere!
The workshop takes place over an afternoon, and during this ½-day initiation during the school vacations, your child (accompanied by an adult) can discover the art of basketry and make a cat, an owl, a mask or a bird feeder with his or her own hands.
To ensure effective support, the workshops are run in small groups of no more than 6 participants. Raw materials are provided, as well as the materials needed to make the items, and each participant leaves with his or her own creation and a wealth of knowledge about this craft!
