Discover the First World War with Vincent, guide and Mirabelle Tours.

In the morning, Vincent will offer you a guided and commented visit of an authentic trench site in the Apremont forest near Verdun, then he will show you various places throughout the morning.

A lunch break is necessary in the form of a quick sandwich lunch that will be taken on site in a tea room type establishment.

In the afternoon, the guided tour continues, you will discover the Verdun battlefield: guided and commented visit of the Douaumont fort, then direction of the Douaumont Ossuary and the Fleury-devant-Douaumont Necropolis.
The day will end with a guided tour of the Verdun Memorial (battle museum).

This day is particularly adapted to visitors arriving from Paris by TGV (1 hour from Paris East). It is also possible for participants to leave their vehicle at the Meuse TGV parking lot at the place of departure and arrival (free parking.)

Program of the day :

– 08h45: arrival at Meuse TGV station (30 km from Verdun)
– 08h50: welcome by Vincent, your guide, and departure by minivan to Saint-Mihiel (30 km)
– Morning: guided and commented visit of authentic French and German trenches and defensive installations in the Apremont forest, site of the First World War position war between 1914 and 1918. We will visit various places during the morning.
– Quick lunch in a sandwich formula which will be taken on the spot in a tea room type establishment.
– 1:00 pm: Transportation by minivan to the Verdun battlefield.
– 2:00 pm: Arrival at the Verdun battlefield. Guided and commented visit of the Douaumont fort.
– 3:30 pm: visit of the Douaumont Ossuary and the Fleury-devant-Douaumont Necropolis.
– 4:15 pm: Guided tour of the Verdun Memorial (battle museum).
– 6:00 pm: departure by minivan for the Meuse TGV station.
