Autumn escapade in the vineyards of the Grand Est!

The beautiful autumn colours can be admired from the legendary Routes des Vins. From Alsace, Champagne or Lorraine, take these sublime routes to discover a unique wine heritage.

A trip through the vineyards in a vintage van

Why not take a trip through the vineyards in a van? In Champagne, you'll be accompanied by guides who'll reveal all the secrets of this unique heritage, brought to life by committed winegrowers. A must? Venture out in the early evening to watch the sun set over the orange-coloured vegetation: a colourful mosaic that stretches as far as the eye can see, and is bound to be immortalised! The guide will choose the best vantage points from which to photograph this enchanted landscape, and then it's up to you! At the end of the tour, enjoy a tasting session: champagne for the adults, grape juice for the children.

Meet the winegrowers

What better way to discover a region's heritage than to meet the people who have shaped it and continue to make it sublime? In Alsace, we head to a wine cellar where we are welcomed by our host. You quickly sense his passion for passing on his knowledge and the family atmosphere that reigns on the estate. The Alsatian know-how is revealed during the visit, combining generosity with a passion for wine.

In the Champagne region, you'll have to descend several dozen metres underground to reach the chalk pits, where you'll discover an impressive site. From the outset, you can feel the freshness of the place: the aromas intoxicate you as the different stages of vinification are explained in detail. During our visit, the secrets of this prestigious expertise are revealed to us by a passionate winemaker.

Explore the wine roads on two wheels

More your bike, segway, solex or electric scooter? Once you've chosen your favourite vehicle, you can set off to explore the vineyards of the Grand Est region, an ideal autumn activity. The sun's rays give us a boost, while the mildness of the air refreshes us! We'll stroll quietly through vineyards of changing colours: sometimes orange, sometimes red, sometimes green, it's a real living spectacle that unfolds before our eyes. Accompanied by a guide, we get to know these multi-faceted lands better. From exploring the work of the vine to the wine-making process, this is a new way of discovering the riches of the Grand Est region, at your own pace.

Put yourself in the shoes of a winegrower

Looking for an even more immersive experience? Become a grape-picker for a day. As autumn approaches in Alsace, Champagne and Lorraine, the grapes are ripening. Wearing good shoes and comfortable clothes, you're all set for an intense and rewarding experience. Rendezvous in the cellars, then head for the vineyards with our team-mates for the day. The vines are decked out in their most beautiful colours, the perfect backdrop for getting to work on the vines! Welcomed by a winegrower, he gives us his best advice and techniques to get us started on the harvest. Pruning shears in hand, the activity begins! It doesn't take long to get into the swing of things: we fill the basket with our harvest, proud to be part of this age-old tradition.

The best part? Anyone can do it! The whole family gets to share in this unusual experience, creating some wonderful memories.
