Putting in place the conditions to develop sport by making it accessible to as many people as possible is at the heart of the concerns of the Grand Est region and its partners.
With the "Land of the 2024 Games" label, the Grand Est is working alongside the Paris 2024 Organising Committee to unite as many sports fans and enthusiasts as possible around the values of Olympism. Everything is being done to ensure that everyone can experience the incomparable emotions of the Olympic Games while preserving the exceptional natural heritage of the Grand Est region.

To share in the success of the world's greatest athletes, the region offers 87 accredited Preparation Centres for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The aim? To provide athletes with the optimum conditions in which to train before the event, but also to recover in... Olympian calm.

The Paris 2024 Olympic Games will be held from 26 July to 11 August 2024. The Paralympic Games will take place from 28 August to 8 September 2024.

The Grand Est has been awarded the "Land of the 2024 Games" label. As a result, the region has made a commitment to the Paris 2024 Organising Committee to host foreign sports delegations. The 87 approved Preparation Centres will enable athletes from all over the world and their delegations to train and rest before their events.

It's perfectly possible to attend the Paris Olympic Games while staying in the Grand Est region. Thanks to a well-developed transport network, you can reach Paris quickly and easily by train (TGV) or car. This means you can enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the Grand Est region while taking part in the capital's Olympic events.
Note that this summer, extra trains will be running to allow late returns to the Grand Est:
Departure from Paris Est at 00:36 - Arrival at Epernay at 1:56 then at Châlons at 2:14. Then departure by coach from Epernay at 2.00 am, arriving in Reims at 2.42 am.
