If you want to discover the forests of the Illwald, cross the Ried or meet a boatman on the Ill, the Bennwasser gîte is the ideal place to put down your bags. It’s located 3 km south-east of Guémar, in the former fishing village of Illhaeusern. The establishment is ideally located for a relaxing, activity-filled stay. The 88 m2 gîte can accommodate 5 people.

Opened only in 2020, this single-storey gîte offers a brand-new setting with a fresh interior and modern furnishings. The layout is tastefully designed to give you spacious, light-filled spaces. Note those little details that always make a difference (the play of colors, the patterned cushions, the discreet light fittings…). But the real asset of this charming accommodation is its shaded barbecue area with garden furniture in the private courtyard. The terrace is also perfect for al fresco lunches.

The interior of Le Bennwasser is immediately appealing. From the entrance, you enter the living room with a sitting area and an open, equipped kitchen. It’s fully equipped for a totally self-sufficient stay. As for the bedrooms, you’ll find 2 double rooms with large storage cupboards and twin beds. The toilet is separate from the shower room, which includes a walk-in shower and washing machine.

The special feature of the Bennwasser gîte is its accessibility for people with reduced mobility. It is equipped with an outside ramp, large doors and wide-open rooms with an adapted shower room.
