La Maison Saint-Jean – Colmar Gîtes de France

The Maison Saint-Jean is an ideal starting point to discover the anecdotes of the picturesque city of Colmar, its famous district of Little Venice, its prestigious houses and its museums.

Located near the Commanderie des Chevaliers de Saint Jean and the old hospital for the poor, the Maison Saint-jean blends into the magnificent colored landscape of the alignment of the Colombage houses. This beautiful building, built in 1520, presents a typical architecture. The interior, entirely renovated, combines a contemporary design with a touch of authenticity. The house is spread over 3 levels, accessible by elevator. There are also wooden staircases to access each floor.

At the entrance, you will immediately see a large Alsatian wooden wardrobe, very original. The laundry room and bike room are on the same level. On the second floor, the living room consists of a lounge with modern sofas and a dining table with Scandinavian chairs. A small, open, fully equipped kitchen is located next door.

The house has two air-conditioned bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a mezzanine on the second floor. These are beautifully decorated with a nice combination of colors and materials. A third bedroom is located in the attic. This one has an authentic charm with typical Alsatian wall decorations from the 15th century.
