About
La Féculerie
La Féculerie is a museum highlighting an industrial activity that has now disappeared: the transformation of potatoes into starch. Intense in the Vôge region from the 18th to the 19th century, the starch industry declined with the closure of the Vosges weaving mills. The starch mill at Moulin Gentrey, with its waterwheel, belts and other gears, bears witness to this glorious activity and vanished know-how. La Féculerie is also a place to sleep. We have three rooms available for travelers, including one for longer stays. Two kilometers from the Voie Bleue along the Canal de l'Est, La Féculerie offers a green and bucolic stopover. La Féculerie is also a lively place, with a bar area and regular concerts.
