Sound walk on Lake Altenweiher

Looking for a unique experience? Join us on a sound walk around Lake Altenweiher! Accompanied by composer Jim Petit, you’ll explore this exceptional site, surrounded by the Kastelberg and Rainkopf peaks. A sensory adventure not to be missed!

Departing from Mittlach, you’ll reach the lake and listen, through headphones, to a musical composition created by Jim Petit. The piece is based on soundscapes and dowsing pendulum analysis of the lake’s waters, used to program the synthesizers and reveal the musical notes of the Altenweiher over the course of the seasons.

The sound experience blends harmoniously with the view of the lake and the surrounding natural sounds. During the hike, Jim will reveal the unique vibration of the Kolben bridge during high water and the tumult of the lake’s overflow stream during snowmelt.

Accessible to everyone aged 6 and over, this activity includes the accompaniment of an enthusiastic guide. A minimum of 2 participants is required to confirm the outing. If this number is not reached, you will be informed before the scheduled date and will receive a full refund.
