This meticulous art, performed with curved needles, is particularly useful for repairing books with damaged seams. If you have a certain ease with sewing and are ready to invest several hours of painstaking work, this workshop is for you!

This Coptic bookbinding workshop is accessible to beginners, as long as you’re a bit at ease with sewing, especially when it comes to threading a needle and making simple stitches. Guided by a passionate expert, you’ll learn step-by-step how to bind each notebook by hand, creating a unique book.

This workshop will enable you to personalize your creation using precious materials: marbled papers, silk, cashmere, antique Indian fabrics, pashminas and hand-embroidered shawls. You’ll have the opportunity to work on the aesthetics of your pages with colored or gilded edges, choose motifs or threads in different colors, and create a luxurious cover that will turn your book into a work of art in its own right.
