Create your own wicker flower with Delphine
Plunge into the heart of a traditional art form and let your creative spirit emerge during a basket-making workshop. You’ll be accompanied by Delphine Bance, a qualified basket-maker, who will teach you basic techniques such as cross-bottom weaving, essential for making round baskets and baskets.
Delphine will invite you into her world with a workshop to create your own wicker flowers. You’ll have the opportunity to use wicker grown in the region.
During the workshop, Delphine will share her know-how with you, explaining everything about wicker, from its cultivation to its harvesting, including the nuances between white and raw wicker and how each is used in basketry. Thanks to her pedagogical approach, she will guide you step by step through the creation of your piece, ensuring that you have all the information you need to perfect your weaving.
This experience is open to all, young and old. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult. At the end of this discovery workshop, not only will you have learned the basics of basketry, but you’ll also leave with your own creation.

Come and discover Delphine Bance's basket-weaving workshop, where she will share her passion with you. Using locally-grown wicker and the tools of the basket-maker, Delphine will tell you all about wicker, its cultivation, harvesting, the difference between white wicker and raw wicker, and its use in basketry. Delphine will guide you in your creation, giving you all the information you need to make your own weavings.
This is an introductory wickerwork workshop, and you'll leave with an object you've made yourself.
