14th Folk’ Estival at the Ecomuseum of Alsace
How about a musical weekend to round off the summer vacations in style? Come and discover or rediscover folk and traditional music at the 17th Folk'Estival. The event takes place on August 23 and 24, from 10am to 6pm, at the Écomusée d'Alsace in Ungersheim.
What better way to get away from it all than with a music festival featuring artists from near and far? More than thirty groups will transport you far from everyday life. Playing a variety of acoustic and/or ancient instruments such as the violin, accordion, zither or Celtic harp, each of them will add their own little touch to complete the event. This cultural encounter promises to be rich in color!
Set in the authentic surroundings of the Écomusée, young and old alike can enjoy music from Alsace, Brittany, Ireland (and much more besides) in a jovial, convivial atmosphere. BUILDINGS & BIODIVERSITY
Today, the Ecomusée d'Alsace consists of a village of 80 buildings representative of Alsace at the beginning of the 20th century, all dismantled from their commune of origin and reassembled in the museum. Around the village, on an area of 97 hectares, you'll find 4 signposted trails to discover biodiversity, as well as agricultural areas in biological transition.
Be curious! Push open the door of each house to discover the treasures it contains: a converted interior, an exhibition, a craftsman's workshop or a stable with animals!

The Ecomusée d'Alsace boasts an exceptional collection of over 40,000 objects, reflecting the daily lives of Alsatians. When the museum was created in 1984, Alsatians became passionate about this adventure and began sending regular donations to the museum.

When visiting with friends or family, take part in the activities that punctuate every day in the village: milking cows, feeding pigs, visiting the apiary, boat trips... and sample the traditional recipes prepared at the Maison des Goûts et des Couleurs...
