Entrance to the Jaulny Castle Museum
From May 12 to September 30, the Château de Jaulny opens its doors to you for a guided tour full of discoveries. According to some historians, this place, occupied as early as 1060 by one of the first knights and lord of Jaulny, was the summer residence of Jeanne des Armoises, whom some historians consider to be Joan of Arc. Come and visit as a couple, with friends or family.
Now privately owned, this former seigniorial keep conceals countless treasures. The château boasts 1,000 years of history. These include its mysterious cellars - classified as Historic Monuments - which have the distinction of extending over 3 levels. There's also an admirable medieval weapons room, a museum with original clothes, sumptuous 16th-century carved beams and the famous portrait room.
Situated on the banks of the Rupt de Mad river, this authentic medieval site is surrounded by a magnificent park.
Open to the public free of charge, it's the ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. And if you fancy a refreshment and a bite to eat, you'll find a refreshment bar on site.
La Taverne de l'Armoise offers drinks and homemade cakes. In addition to your visit, you can also enjoy a cultural event on Sundays at the Château.
