European Heritage Day at the Abbaye des Prémontrés
For the Journées Européennes du Patrimoine 2025, the Abbaye des Prémontrés in Pont-à-Mousson opens its doors to you! Enter into almost 9 centuries of history at the heart of a major monument of the Grand Est region.
Classified as a Historic Monument, the Abbey invites you to discover its majestic spaces. Admire the richness of its classical and baroque architecture, its peaceful gardens and its halls. An ideal opportunity to (re)discover this 18th-century masterpiece in a friendly, enriching atmosphere.
Stroll along the historical trail and discover the fate of this 18th-century monument since its tragic destruction in September 1944. Marked by major reconstruction and restoration projects, this emblematic site has witnessed incredible dynamism since the 1960s.
Guided tours will punctuate the day. A booklet-game will be available for families. To complete your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to view paintings by artist Laurence Bost, paying tribute to the craftsmen involved in the restoration of Notre-Dame de Paris, as well as works by artists Pierre-Marie Lejeune, Daniel Ackerman and Claude Goutin, which will punctuate your tour of the gardens.
