L’aventure du rail, an immersive show at the Cité du train – SNCF Heritage
In 2025, the Cité du Train – Patrimoine SNCF celebrates 20 years of renewal with a new show: L’Aventure du Rail. An immersive experience that will take you on a journey through 2 centuries of railway history, supported by spectacular staging and a moving love story.
Immerse yourself in a captivating universe alongside Blanche and Marcel, two characters whose romance begins on the rails and takes you through the great periods of railroading. At each stop, admire 5 mythical trains – from the Crampton steam locomotive to the TGV high-speed train – illuminated in a striking sound and light décor.
Meet iconic personalities such as Gustave Eiffel and Ettore Bugatti, and stroll through the landmarks of the French collective imagination: Parisian cabarets, the lively guinguettes of the 1920s, and the sunny beaches of the Côte d’Azur. Along the way, technical innovations and rail history come to life before your very eyes.
More than just a show, L’Aventure du Rail is an immersion in the history of French rail transport. A lively celebration of our heritage, to be enjoyed by families and enthusiasts alike, in a setting unique in Europe.
