Alsace by bike with your family
From April to the end of October, Grand Angle offers you the opportunity to discover Alsace during a beautiful cycling adventure. Magnificent landscapes to contemplate, medieval villages to visit and historical sites to explore await you during this escapade. With your family, you will cycle along the Wine Route for seven days.
This beautiful bike ride promises you an exceptional family trip. Along the way, you’ll stay in a family or double room and start each day with a complimentary breakfast. To make the most of every moment of your trip, the offer also includes the transport of your luggage.
It all starts in Strasbourg where you will have the opportunity to visit the city, its historical monuments and its picturesque neighborhoods. From there, you will reach Ergersheim the next day by following the Bruche Canal, then Molsheim. The adventure continues on the « véloroute des Vins », the perfect itinerary to discover the villages and vineyards of the region. This day will satisfy architecture lovers with destinations including typical Romanesque buildings. You will be able to admire the church of Rosheim or the abbey of Andlau.
On the fourth day, you will cycle to Kientzheim or Sélestat without missing anything of the beauty of the surrounding villages: Blienschwiller, famous for its Grand Cru Winzenberg, but also Dambach-la-Ville and Scherwiller, typical Alsatian wine villages.
This family outing will then lead you to Ribeauvillé. On the way, take the time to visit different attractions depending on the chosen itinerary (Kintzheim or Sélestat). The Haut-Koenigsbourg castle would be an excellent choice for history lovers. You will have the opportunity to stop at the charming medieval city of Bergheim, to admire its beautiful half-timbered houses.
The last day of the tour will bring you more adventures. Take advantage of your stay in Hunawihr to observe otters and storks in the NaturOparc center. After Riquewihr, you could visit the vineyards of the Bestheim winery while pedaling towards Bennwihr. Another option would be to follow the road towards Kientzheim and Kaysersberg to reach Colmar. The historic part of the city is waiting for you to stroll through its cobblestone streets. It is a great opportunity to contemplate its typical architecture before reaching the hotel.
