Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, this highly symbolic site has one particularity: it boasts the largest number of statues in the world – 2,303, to be precise. One of them is particularly famous and is the emblem of the Cité des Sacres. It’s the Smiling Angel, visible on the north portal of the cathedral’s façade.
