Visit of the Villa Majorelle in Nancy

Located just a stone's throw from the station and the Musée de l'École de Nancy, the Villa Majorelle is the emblem of French Art Nouveau architecture. La Madeleine invites you to discover this historic monument on a guided tour lasting around an hour. It's a must for anyone who doesn't want to miss a thing of Nancy.

If the Villa Majorelle is one of Nancy's main tourist attractions, it's not just because it bears witness to the history of the Majorelle family. Designed by École de Nancy star artist Louis Majorelle and architect Henri Sauvage, this mansion built in 1902 is a true architectural gem. Pay particular attention to the ironwork (produced by Majorelle himself), stained glass and ceramics that adorn its façades. And inside, you'll discover much of the original furnishings and decor.

The Villa Majorelle invites you to step back in time and plunge into the artist's family intimacy. You can visit with your family, as a couple or with friends. Our animal friends are also welcome. However, it's worth pointing out that high heels are forbidden to avoid damaging the fragile parquet floor. Another point: please allow €4 per person for entry to the villa.
