Afternoon of discovery and tasting of champagnes, from Reims to Hautvillers

Meet at 1.50 pm at Reims train station or wait for the Sparkling Tour mini-van at your hotel. The first visit of the afternoon is already shaping up to be a fascinating one, with a visit to the cellar of a Premier Cru producer, punctuated by a tasting of 3 champagnes.

After learning about the "méthode champenoise", you'll be taken to Hautvillers to discover the Cradle of Champagne. Here, you can relive the legend of Dom Pierre Pérignon, the famous monk who is said to have first foamed wine. His tomb is located in the village's Saint-Pierre church.

Then head to the Champagne vineyards for a guided tour of the vines. This verdant panorama is sure to awaken your love of the land. The afternoon comes full circle at a Premier or Grand Cru producer, where 3 other champagnes await you for tasting. Return to Reims at 6pm.
