Chocolate moment at Maison Vollereaux
Come and discover the sensational taste of the marriage of flavors between chocolate and Champagne Vollereaux in Pierry. Head to the cellars for a guided tour full of anecdotes!
Your tasting adventure begins in the middle of the cellars. Along the corridors dug in the chalk, thousands of bottles are resting on slats. Some of them are just waiting for an exceptional opportunity to be tasted. It is in this setting that the yeast acts and the bubbles form. This atmosphere is completed by the sweet perfume enveloping the cellars and whose aromas will remain in your mind.
The guide will then make you discover the different traditional tools used for the elaboration of the vintages. He will share with you his passion and his knowledge of wine making. It is a dive into the heart of the history of a great family of wine growers that awaits you.
What would a tour of the cellars be without a tasting at the end! After the visit, taste the agreement between champagne and chocolate. This subtle encounter between an exquisite taste on the one hand, and a pronounced one on the other, will surprise your taste buds for sure!

CHAMPAGNE VOLLEREAUX
Since 1805, the Vollereaux family has owned 40 hectares of vines spread over 13 communes in the Côteaux sud d'Epernay/Sézannais area, including Pierry, classified as a Premier Cru. Now it's the turn of the 6th generation to continue the work begun more than two centuries ago. Today, as in the past, the Vollereaux family works as a family: Franck Vollereaux vinifies, Hélène Vollereaux welcomes the public and is in charge of wine tourism, and Jean-Marie Vollereaux cultivates the vines. With its relaxed, classic style, Vollereaux Champagne is a creator of occasions, and the estate's wine tourism experience is built around different timeframes, from short breaks to half-day tours. Whichever formula is chosen, visitors will enjoy a break that takes them to the heart of Vollereaux's family heritage.
