Visit and Tasting at Clos Sainte Apolline

A verdant landscape overlooking the Vosges foothills: welcome to the Domaine du Bollenberg! The Meyer family welcomes you for a visit and tasting.

This family has been devoting their passion to their land since 1887, and their distilling expertise has been passed down from generation to generation. This vast estate boasts 25 hectares of vineyards planted with all the Alsatian grape varieties.

Clos Sainte Apolline opens its doors to you for a guided tour of its hectares of vines and cellar production. The estate applies organic farming methods to vinification and ageing: harvesting by hand only and vinification in wooden tuns. It produces 52 brandies and liqueurs, including the classic kirsch and mirabelle plum, as well as the original licorice and woodruff brandies. The winery's speciality is also its "ice wine", harvested at temperatures of -7°C.

The visit also includes a gourmet break. You'll taste several types of wine, with dry, sweet or sparkling characteristics. If the mood is gourmet, the aperitif will be accompanied by an assortment of local products, ending with a traditional Alsatian kouglof.

At the end of the tour, visitors like to take home a souvenir bottle from the Bollenberg cellar. Enthusiasts will be seduced by the special-tasting wines and liqueurs, while connoisseurs will be tempted by the tasting of 50° eau de vie. To be enjoyed in moderation and with plenty of good cheer!

You'll be served in the dining room or on the terrace in the shade of centuries-old trees. The Auberge au Vieux Pressoir is renowned for its succulent dishes and homemade products: foies gras, terrines and jams.
