Winemaker for a day
Discover the work of the vine by becoming a winegrower for a day. This experience will give you the opportunity to talk with passionate Alsatian winegrowers and discover the activities linked to wine tourism in Alsace.
During this experience, participants will be accompanied by an experienced winemaker on a guided tour through the various stages of wine production. This may include visiting the vineyards, learning how to prune vines, discovering harvesting methods, as well as taking part in activities specific to each season.
This experience is then followed by a wine tasting, either directly from the barrels, or at a small aperitif in the vineyard with a picnic. This offer allows visitors to experience a unique day, actively participating in the various stages of wine production, while discovering the picturesque Alsace countryside.
During the tour, you’ll learn about the different types of soil found in the region, such as clay-limestone soils. In addition, local winemakers will be happy to share their expertise and passion for wine, explaining the secrets behind the elaboration of Alsace’s great vintages and wines, such as Rittersberg and Frankstein.
