Halloween – Charlemont is terrifying
Are you ready to shiver? On October 26 and 27, Givet’s Forteresse de Charlemont invites you into its lair of creepy creatures and spooky activities. Come and wander the dark corridors and rooms of the fortress’ siege hospital… Be careful, because witches, spirits and other creatures of the shadows will also be on hand, to share with you a thrilling weekend, designed for courageous people of all ages!
With family or friends, you’ll be able to choose from a wide range of activities to thrill your senses. Younger guests can discover themed trails such as « Charli in Wonderland » and « Charli at Wizard School ». Older children, meanwhile, may dare to tackle a revisited horror trail, even bigger and scarier than ever. For extra adrenalin, take part in a frenzied laser-game or try to solve the mysteries of a Halloween-themed escape game. Can’t get enough? Test your detective skills at an immersive murder party, and dive into role-playing games led by the Aux Portes de l’Imaginaire team.
On Saturday evening, the fortress welcomes you for a Halloween party with DJ, from 9.30pm to 1am. The program features spooky music and a festive atmosphere that’s sure to make for an unforgettable evening. The perfect opportunity to don your scariest costumes and mingle with the creatures of the night in a diabolical atmosphere!

Charlemont
Protected as a Monument Historique since 1927, Charlemont is a privileged witness to history.
Built to defend the empire of Charles V, the stronghold was subsequently coveted and besieged by all the great powers of Europe until 1914.
Today, it's up to you, the visitor, to climb the citadel and discover Charlemont's natural and historical heritage.
