Are you passionate about history? Come and visit the Musée du Combattant de 1940 in Longuyon! You’ll discover a rich collection of objects recounting the history of the Maginot Line fortifications and the combatants who lived there during the Second World War, from the main forts to the intervals.

Get ready for an exciting journey! This large, authentic artillery structure reveals its equipment, underground organization and weaponry, offering a complete immersion in this historic period.

At the entrance, the outdoor museum welcomes you with an impressive collection of over 1000 m², presenting the main equipment of the Maginot Line in real-life situations. As you walk through the forecourt, you’ll discover the most complete collection of French and German cannons from 1940. Take your time to contemplate some forty reconstructed period scenes, the fruit of 45 years’ hard work by volunteers.

A free tour of the museum is included in the admission fee, while personal expenses are at your own expense. Free parking is available on site.

Fermont A journey of more than 2 hours to discover a large artillery structure that has remained authentic, with its equipment, underground organization and armament. In front of the entrance, the 1000m² outdoor museum presents a remarkable collection of the main equipment of the Maginot Line, and France's finest collection of French and German fortress and field guns used in 1939/1940.
