Musée Mémoires du Textile
At the foot of the Vosges mountains, in a verdant setting, the "Mémoires du Textile" museum is housed in the former Vel-et-Châtillon textile factory (1850-1978), which preserves the memory and know-how of thousands of employees. Here, machines come to life before the visitor's eyes to explain every stage of production, from the cotton bale to the final fabric. Calicotier, cotton flower, weaver, warper... so many trades and gestures that have disappeared to be rediscovered.
