About
AQUARIUM D'AMNEVILLE
Having spent his childhood admiring goldfish in a modest aquarium, 20-year-old Eric Isler decided to make a dream come true: to bring fish from all over the world to Amnéville. After three years of planning and construction, the Aquarium d’Amnéville opened its doors to the public on August 11, 1989.
Sharks, seahorses, piranhas, clownfish and moray eels were just some of the 350 species of fish and invertebrates displayed in 65 aquariums, delighting the first visitors. At the time, the Aquarium d’Amnéville featured the largest shark tank in France.
