Hohneck sunset snowshoe hike

With Destination Sport Nature, take a hike up to the Hohneck to watch a magnificent sunset! With snowshoes on your feet, discover the mountain in a new light and share a unique moment with your loved ones. The colors of the sky will be reflected on the snow-covered ridges, creating a fascinating spectacle before the stars appear.

Rising to over 1,200 m, the Hohneck is one of the most famous peaks in the Vosges. Accompanied by an expert guide, experience the magic of sunset in a breathtaking natural setting!

Departing from the Col de la Schlucht, you’ll head off towards the Roi Dagobert thatch and « Les Trois Fours ». Admire the view from the Martinswand rocks over the Alsace plain. If you’re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of chamois. At the summit, your guide will introduce you to the constellations and mysteries of the starry sky. You’ll then begin your descent through a beech-fir forest and charming glades. To round off this memorable evening, you can enjoy an optional mountain menu in a Vosges farmhouse inn. A perfect opportunity to sample the delights of the land.

Designed for adults, this package includes a 2h to 2h30 hike with professional supervision. All necessary equipment (snowshoes, poles, headlamp) is included, as well as the administrative costs. A guide is provided for each group of 15 participants, with an effective start for groups of 8 or more. The activity is suitable for all levels, but is not recommended for people with heart problems, nor is it accessible to people with reduced mobility.
