In the company of a professional guide, not only will you be assisted along the way, but you’ll also be given explanations about the history of the site and the equipment to be used on the trail. If you choose this option, you can choose between 2 packages: the discovery of Lac Blanc or the discovery of the Hohneck stubble fields.

The starting point will vary according to the package chosen. For the Lac Blanc discovery tour, set off from the Lac Blanc resort towards the thatch-covered ridges. Here you’ll encounter flora that is unique in Europe. The route then continues on to natural wonders such as the Weiss valley. Continue on to the Lac Blanc spring before enjoying a tasty hot drink at the Lac Blanc lookout. To round off the snow descent in style, you’ll head off into the fir forest and land back at the starting point.

As for the Hohneck Stubble Discovery Package, it departs from the Col de la Schlucht. You’ll head for the summit of the resort, where you’ll enjoy a magnificent view of the Alsace plain, the Black Forest and the Alps. You’ll take a tour of the Trois Fours secondary thatch and the Martinswand rocks. Among other things, you’ll enjoy the majestic Frankenthal glacial cirque. You’ll continue with a stroll along the trails through the pine forest bordering the Hohneck massif, followed by a splendid display of the site’s many waterfalls, moraines and glacial lakes. To descend, you’ll have to follow the path through a beech-fir forest, where you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of Lac de Longemer.

This package is suitable for a group of up to 15 participants for a duration of 7 hours. Specific equipment is recommended for the trail, such as walking shoes, warm, waterproof clothing and water bottles. Take the plunge and book your snowshoeing day in the Vosges mountains now!
