This second leg of the Raid Bulles takes you through the forests of the Aube to the banks of the Seine. A journey through unspoilt countryside, historic heritage and the gateway to the Champagne vineyards awaits you!
Saddle up on the shady paths of the Rumilly woods for a 100% nature break. On this stage, you'll cover 13 kilometres of forest paths and lanes, all the way to the charming village of Rumilly-lès-Vaudes. The ideal place to catch your breath and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside!
The Raid Bulles continues on to the Château de Vaux, a listed historic monument. This architectural gem is one of the most remarkable buildings in the Aube region. It's well worth taking a break to admire it from every angle! You can stop for lunch at the Château's restaurant (La Poule de Vaux) or enjoy a picnic in the grounds.
After this historic interlude, pedal towards the Sarce, a river that flows into the Seine near Virey-sous-Bar. Here, the Seine is modest, a far cry from the Parisian image. Its tranquillity makes it a most pleasant travelling companion! Follow its banks as far as the village of Bourguignons.
After a few pedal strokes, you'll reach the final destination of this stage: Bar-sur-Seine. This "Petite Cité de Caractère" marks the entrance to the vineyards of the Côte des Bar, famous for its Champagnes. Here, take time to stroll through its narrow streets, steeped in an authentic atmosphere and old-world charm.
