The third stage of the Raid Bulles invites you to explore the famous vineyards of the Côte des Bar and its picturesque villages. It's a chance to immerse yourself in the heart of the Champagne region, ideal for lovers of nature, heritage... and cycling!
From Bar-sur-Seine, cross the Seine and head east. A pretty valley leads to the village of Ville-sur-Arce. Here, take the time to stop and admire the vineyards that stretch as far as the eye can see!
Your route continues towards Chervey and then Chacenay, where the village castle stands proudly on its heights. This 13th-century feudal castle is a real architectural gem, housing a fascinating collection of original manuscripts and autographs. It's a must-see for history buffs!
After passing through Vitry-le-Croisé, you cross the A5 to reach the village of Bligny. Note: the terrain becomes a little bumpier, with the route mainly made up of paths and tracks. Bligny also boasts a superb château, which you can admire as you pass through the village.
This third stage finishes with a beautiful descent along a stone path through the heart of the Côte des Bar vineyards. Make the most of the end of the day by visiting a winery and enjoying a Champagne tasting*. Perfect for recharging your batteries while enjoying the region's gastronomic heritage!
