Three villages, three churches and three Appellations d'Origine Contrôlée: that's three more reasons to set off on the road to Les Riceys inAube!

Drive to Les Riceys and you'll arrive in a village that has been awarded the Petite Cité de Caractère® label , located in the south of the Champagne region, in the heart of the Côte des Bar. The 100% wine-growing landscape may surprise you: you're in the commune with the largest wine-growing area in the whole of the Champagneregion... But also three appellations d'origines contrôlées. Champagne, Côteaux Champenois and Rosé des Riceys (the Sun King's favourite and considered to be one of the best in France), the vines of the Laignes valley bottle wonders.

On this not-to-be-missed leg of the Champagne Touring Route, don't miss out on a taste of history as you explore the three village churches, as well as the Château de Ricey-Bas, one of the oldest in the region, and its magnificent formal gardens.

Need to stretch your legs? Head for Courteron, where a ten-kilometre hike awaits you to discover the Cadoles, ancient dry-stone winegrowers' huts. Perfect for a bucolic stop-off in the heart of the region's wine-growing landscapes.

Finally, look up at Neuville-sur-Seine: Notre Dame des Vignes towers 23 metres above the village. Holding a bunch of grapes in her right hand, she implores heaven to protect the Champagne vines.
