However, the vineyards of the "Vallée de la Marne" continue to extend beyond this border, offering rich and varied wine-growing landscapes to discover.

For this latest stopover, the Champagne Tourist Route takes you to Le Breuil, where the vineyard lodge "Le Coquillage" awaits you. Did you know? This type of construction was once used by winegrowers for shelter, to store their tools or simply to rest. "Le Coquillage is ideally situated on a plateau overlooking the River Surmelin, giving you a bird's eye view of the far end of the Marne Valley.

On your way, you pass through the villages of L'Huis and La Chapelle-Monthodon, nestling in the heart of the rolling countryside, before arriving in Condé-en-Brie, a charming commune with a rich heritage and an authentic atmosphere. Here, don't forget to set off to discover the family-run wine estates, where traditions and know-how are handed down from generation to generation. Your destination? The famous Château de Condé, home of the Princes of Condé, Bourbon and Savoy. That's what it's all about! Inside, let yourself be charmed by the illustrations of the Tales of La Fontaine, or the paintings of Watteau.

Continuing on your way, discover the villages on the other bank of the Marne. From Trélou-sur-Marne to Passy-sur-Marne, don't miss the traditional wine press, a symbol of the region's rich wine-growing heritage.

Numerous winegrowers will also warmly welcome you to share their passion through a visit and/or tasting session, offering unique experiences based around champagne and their know-how.

Next, continue on to Barzy-sur-Marne, Jaulgonne and Chartèves, ideal places to enjoy a moment of peace and quiet in the heart of nature, before finishing the stage at Mont-Saint-Père.

This charming village is the birthplace of the famous painter Léon Lhermitte, whose centenary will be celebrated in 2025. This charming village, typical of the western Marne valley, perched on a spur between the Marne and the hillsides, offers superb views over the valley and the surrounding vineyards. An ideal place to combine art, history and scenery!
