The final leg of the Champagne Touring Route starts in Charly-sur-Marne, and if you need to stretch your legs, it's certainly the perfect village: there are plenty of places to start your walks here. In particular, you can explore the Île de la Rudenoise, a bank of the "ru de Domptin" stream, which is home to a wealth of vegetation typical of the waterways of the southern Aisne. Keep your eyes peeled for the Common Anemone, a rare plant in northern France, in winter. Charly-sur-Marne also boasts a remarkable panorama, offering a breathtaking view of the vineyard cirque.
Then it's on to Montreuil-aux-Lions, a village steeped in remembrance, where you can visit the British cemetery. Here, you can discover a real tribute to the men who fought in the First World War. And don't forget to add a lighter touch to your visit by strolling through the picturesque village streets.
Last stop: Crouttes-sur-Marne! In the heart of the vineyards, this village will charm you with its bucolic landscapes and vineyards as far as the eye can see... Take a leisurely stroll through the picturesque narrow streets of the town to finish this stage in style.
