Castles, forests and waterfalls: this 7th stage has something for everyone!

After a good night's rest and before starting the day's stage, make a stop at Wangenbourg Castle. Stroll through its vast inner courtyard, admire the remains of a magnificent Gothic fireplace and, to warm up your calves, climb to the top of the keep! The view over the Mossig valley is breathtaking.

Continue your route through the Schneeberg massif. You continue to gain altitude, reaching the day's summit at 916 metres.

On the descent to Urmatt, you pass by the Nideck castle. This is actually two castles, of which you can only see a few remains, including a square keep. Below the castle, take a refreshing break at the Nideck waterfall, nestling in a wild, wooded setting. Admire the water gushing out of the volcanic rock at a height of 25 metres!

Continue on to Urmatt, the gateway to the Bruche valley and a great place to recharge your batteries.
