Enjoy a classic picnic with DE BARFONTARC
Champagne lovers, the Maison DE BARFONTARC in Baroville invites you to visit its facilities before enjoying a picnic basket amidst the vines. An opportunity to toast the beauty of the Champagne landscape.
Bringing together some fifty winegrowers from the Côte des Bar villages of Baroville, Fontaine and Arconville, the Coopérative Vinicole de la Région de Baroville was founded in 1962. One thing led to another, and the pressing center expanded to create its own brand of champagne, "DE BARFONTARC".
Nominated in the "Cooperative of the Year" category by the Trophées Champenois, DE BARFONTARC stands out for the quality of its champagnes, which have won several awards in professional competitions. Indeed, the fruity taste resulting from the alliance of two noble grape varieties (Pinot Noir and Chardonnay) leaves no one indifferent. It's also worth pointing out that DE BARFONTARC champagnes are made using state-of-the-art equipment, in the purest Champagne tradition.
You'll discover all this for yourself on a tour of the estate. When you arrive, you'll receive a warm welcome. Your guide will be delighted to explain the different stages of winemaking and answer any questions you may have.
You'll then head to the heart of the vineyard for lunch. The picnic basket consists of a cold meal prepared by a partner restaurant, and includes a bottle of Champagne Héritage Brut for 2 people, plus a bottle of water. Glasses and cutlery are provided, of course!

CHAMPAGNE DE BARFONTARC
In 1962, some fifty winegrowers from the Aube villages of Baroville, Fontaine and Arconville on the Côte des Bar joined forces to create the "Coopérative Vinicole de la Région de Baroville". Initially a pressing center, the Cooperative grew to produce its own brand of champagne, "DE BARFONTARC". Located in Baroville, it still brings together the same winegrowers, who cultivate 112 ha of vines in 7 surrounding villages, and employs around twenty people year-round.
